The company is supplying products that use polymers (conductive polymers) as cathodes. “NeoCapacitor” and “KO-CAP.” NeoCapacitor is by TOKIN Product lines manufactured and sold, KO-CAP is manufactured by its parent company, KEMET, and is distributed in the Japanese market by TOKIN Sales. They are all compact, high-capacity, and thin, and by using polymers with high conductivity, they significantly reduce... ESR allows for large ripple currents. The market is expanding, particularly for power supply smoothing applications that demand compact and thin designs.
For consumer and industrial applications, the maximum capacitance of polymer capacitors is: 1500μF, with rated voltages ranging from 2.5 V to 75 V (PS/L series, T52X/T530 series). We’ve also introduced a new product line in the 3528 size and 1 mm thickness, suitable for laptops, mobile devices, IoT equipment, and more (F/PS series, 220μF, 4V, etc.).
For in-vehicle use 125°C warranty, fully compliant with AEC-Q200 standards, maximum capacitance of 680 μF, and rated voltage ranging from 2.5 V to 75 V (T598 series). These products particularly excel in applications involving the parallel use of modules with strict height limitations and multiple MLCCs. Applications such as ADAS, autonomous driving, in-vehicle camera modules, and infotainment modules are steadily expanding. Additionally, we have introduced smaller-size products in 3216/3528 packages (F/PU series) and products with a 150°C warranty (T599 series).
Double-layer capacitor The “supercapacitor” series has begun supplying FMD0H334ZF (5.5 V, 0.33 F) and FU0H105ZF (5.5 V, 1 F) for automotive applications. These capacitors feature high capacitance in farads and are designed for power backup purposes. In addition to their exceptional durability, they also meet the following specifications: rated voltage load at 85°C and 85% RH for 1,000 hours, withstand 1,000 temperature cycles, and exhibit excellent vibration resistance. Notably, the latter ensures an industry-leading service life of 4,000 hours under rated voltage load at 85°C.
